The keywords for July are “hard work”, “perseverance”, “graft”, “grit”, “determination” and so on...There is a lot going on in the heavens with a heavy Saturn making things feel slow, but also pushing us to buckle down and sort anything out that has been dragging on unchecked for too long. We also have Ceres, the Dwarf Planet in the mix, which is always about the changing of the seasons and making much needed adjustments to our lives so that we can move forward. As if that wasn’t enough for us to cope with, we also have a Capricorn Full Moon. The Mountain Goat is a sign obsessed with ambition and climbing the ladder to get to the very top career wise, but it is also an Earth Sign which means slow and steady steps rather than a sprint to the finish.
July will be a turning point for many of you. When you reflect back on 2017, changes you make this month will be instrumental in how your life looks at the end of the year. It will be a tricky time as you will have to work very hard to make progress and you may find that you get knocked back a few times before making a breakthrough. Still, keep pushing in July and working towards any goals you have had for a while. The worst advice for this month would be to take it easy and do nothing. Go big or go home is the perfect way to sum up July. It’s exciting!

21st June- 22nd July: Sun in Cancer
For most of July the Sun is in Cancer, the sign of the secretive Crab. This is also one of the most sensitive signs so emotions may run high this month. Think before you speak and don’t take things to heart. Also bear in mind that others will be equally sensitive so if tempers flare just keep cool and smooth things over as best you can.
9th July: Capricorn Full Moon
This Capricorn Full Moon is about career for all the signs and is shining a big light on work success. Lay the foundations at the beginning of the month, such as pitching an idea or project, or applying for a new position, and you may well hear good news around the Capricorn Full Moon. You need to do the work first though!
23rd July: Leo New Moon
Leo, the sign of the Lion, loves to be the center of attention and new moons always bring with them a chance to prelaunch and reboot. If you want to make a change to your appearance, then now is a good time to do it or you can also use the power of this lunation to debut a new look on social media or any other platform where your image is important. This New Moon could also usher in love, a new relationship, or a breakthrough in a current relationship such as a pregnancy or engagement.

AriesJuly is going to focus on career and money, as Venus is in the sign of Taurus which is all about finance. You have probably been struggling with issues of money, work, and your image for a while now, and July could offer you the perfect solution which will continue into August. But...you will have to work for it. Send out job applications, look for ways to collaborate, and join forces with like-minded colleagues. This is not the time to spend ages strategizing. Mars is looming large in your chart and he demands action. It will probably not be easy and you may not see instant success, but the best example would be something like sending out pitches for an article (if you are a writer) and getting 24 rejections, only for the 25th to be picked up by one of the most famous news websites in the world. Do you see? It’s about hard work but it could pay off in a big way.
TaurusYou really want to be seen and heard don’t you Taurus? It’s coming, but in July you need to knuckle down and craft your message and image. Saturn is in Sagittarius now and this affects your finances and you may feel that you never have enough money this month. Use this to your advantage to find ways to work smarter for a bigger pay out. Jupiter is now also in Libra, which is looking at work and education. Jupiter is the planet of miracles so you need to harness his power and get moving. Promote yourself as much as you can and think about how you come across on social media or your own website. Speak up in meetings if you work in an office, or ask for a raise if you feel you deserve one, but also make sure you can back all of this up with a carefully thought out plan of action.
GeminiMoney is in the spotlight for you this month Gemini and there is great potential here. As with all other signs this month you are going to need to take advantage of any offers or developments and then back them up with lots of hard graft. It’s tough but it will be worth it. This month is also asking you to look at your value systems. What matters most to you? What can’t you put a price on? If you have been working hard in an office but been unable to see friends and family, then July might bring with it the option to change roles so that you have a better work-life balance, but it may also come at a price such as a cut in wages. If it changes your life however and sees you happier and healthier then it may well be worth it.
CancerHappy birthday Cancer! Not only is the Sun in Cancer this month, but you also have Mars in Cancer, which is all about gung-ho action. There is a warrior feeling around you now, and you can move mountains if you try and if you have a concrete plan of action. Mars is pushing you to go rushing in but take some celestial advice and think it through first. Much of July will be spent looking at where you fit in. This could mean literally such as a housing issue or the opportunity to move to a new country. It could be your role within a family or in a relationship, or it could be about where you stand in your career or your workplace environment. Now is a great time to look at all of this and try to craft a bigger picture for yourself. Where do you want to be and how do you want your life to look by the end of 2017? Figure it out and then start making moves in July.
LeoMars moves out of Cancer and into Leo on 21st July and this is a significant time for you in the month of July. You may have been feeling a little muddled lately and have been left with loads of loose ends which need to be tied up. Now is the time to do it. Leo is the sign of the Lion and you know how to take charge of a situation, so get moving and make it happen. July also seems to be something of a turning point for Leo. You may make a decision to leave something behind now and it could be the end of relationship that no longer serves you well, or a change in career or even a move to another country or part of town. If you choose to stick with what you’ve got then this will endure for some time, but if you want to make any changes then now is a good time to do it. The choice is yours, but this is the perfect celestial time to grasp the nettle and revaluate.
VirgoRelationships come to the fore for you in July and there will be some big decisions to be made. Neptune is retrograde in Pisces and it will be bringing with it some tough choices and the issue of illusions. Pluto is also in Capricorn which rules sexual relationships and how they are linked to family. This can mean pregnancy, children or heirs and how they relate to your relationship with a man or a woman. With Neptune in the mix the time may have come for you to examine whether this relationship truly has a solid foundation or if it is just an illusion. There will be a strong bond between you but it may also be clouding your judgement, so this is really a make or break moment for your relationship and you need to sit down and really think things through. You may have been feeling stuck in your current situation and much of this has been down to your partner. If you want to feel unstuck then something about your union has to change.
Libra You will feel stuck in July and that’s the bad news. There is however, something to be gained from this. For many of you, this will be a time to practice mindfulness and envisage what you want to happen in the future. The good thing about this cycle is that you can also make great progress IF you push. You will also have to push harder than others but there are some wonderful rewards to be had. Or you could use this month to think things through and then see where that takes you. It is really up to you, but make sure you don’t let any opportunities pass you by as you meditate on life’s pros and cons. Saturn is in Sagittarius on your Third House now which is linked to your brain and this is a heavy transit. What it does however is make you take your time which could lead to a major breakthrough at the end of July. Think of it as getting turned down for a number of opportunities, only to look elsewhere as you are out of options, then scoring a great new role that you never even realized existed. It’s that kind of month.
ScorpioThis could be a tricky month for you and there is a sense of restlessness which is caused by Neptune. You may not know your place in the world and it may come across to other people like you have ‘checked out’ for a time. In July you may be questioning your sense of place and this could apply to your family, ancestors, hometown, or even your cultural identity. There may be the chance to travel this month but it could also be that you simply want to get away from one reality and escape to another. By all means take a trip, but make sure you know why you are going and what you hope to get out of it. Most of this month is about pulling yourself back down to earth and making sure you stay with your feet on terra firma. There will be opportunities, but you will miss them if you have your head in the clouds. Stay present!
SagittariusYou will benefit from some cosmic luck from Jupiter this month which is mostly linked to groups or team activities. Something will come good and it will probably come as something of a surprise to you. This doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t still work hard to make your dreams come true, so if you have wanted to launch a team project or similar group activity then now is a great time to do it. A little effort on your part coupled with a sprinkling of luck from Jupiter could be all your need to propel you forward. Make sure you also keep your feet on the ground however, as you may be so successful that you get carried away and believe your own hype. If you do have projects or ideas in the works then it pays to have a plan so that when everything comes together you will know what the logical next steps are.
CapricornYour Second House which rules money and your Eight House which rules business and finance are lit up in July. This means that there is work to be done in these areas but it will all be for the best as long as you have a firm plan of action. There is a feeling of déjà vu here, or of using techniques and ideas that have worked well in the past and repackaging them to keep moving forward and making progress. This is very much a time of building and it could be related to your own home or business, or just making progress on plans you made earlier in the year. You may also find however that you hit a few snags, and how you negotiate or compromise will be the key to any success. Ask questions when situations seem cloudy or difficult to understand and then take slow steps towards your goals. This should be relatively easy for your sign of the plodding Mountain Goat, and by the end of July you will be able to look back with some satisfaction on all the things you have managed to get done.
Aquarius Finance is in the spotlight for you this month Aquarius and it’s about how you handle your money and make it work for you. There will be the chance to add to your bank balance but also some red herrings where you may be tempted to invest or gamble your money on something that doesn’t pay off. This means you need to be patient and make good choices, but once you do you may find it easier to balance the books and invest in the right areas. Aquarius is always a sign associated with the group rather than the individual, so this might be using money to help a charity which will leave you feeling content and enriched, or it might be buying a small plot of land where you will one day build a lasting home. Look at everything that comes your way this month and then make sound decisions on which areas you want to pursue.
PiscesJupiter is in Libra in your Eighth House which talks about money. It is particularly associated with money linked to family or property and the money we owe to others. Ancestors and family commitments that are focused on money issues are important now and there is a feeling of something new just around the corner. Maybe you will inherit a large sum of money, or get a new job or possession that will become an important source of income for you or those under your care. Now is a time of progress and change and July is likely to end very differently than it started for you. Family is also in the mix, regardless of your financial situation and this is a time to clean house and look at your closest relationships and work through issues which may have been brewing for some time.
