One of the best times of the month will be the sweet New Moon in Libra on 8 October. This is a time when we could hear good news or get something like a windfall, and if you want to launch something like a new project then this is the ideal time to do it.
24 October: Taurus Full Moon
The end of the month brings with it a slightly sore moment with the Taurus Full Moon on 24 October. Everyone is likely to be on edge at this time and money issues could crop up and some of us may be hit with some big bills. All in all, this is a delicate time and it is best to avoid any kind of big relationship talks or key decisions now.
31 October: Venus opposition Uranus
Happy Halloween! With Venus opposite Uranus, expect the unexpected this year, especially when it comes to your relationships. There could be some skeletons coming out of the closet now and the best thing to do is not react and get sucked down by feelings of jealousy or obsession. Go trick or treating instead and skip the drama.

AriesFor most of the month of October you have the Sun in your Seventh House of Relationships, Aries. If you read the intro at the top of this column, then you will know that Venus, which is the ruler of the Seventh House, is going to be retrograde until November, so put all this together and it means that relationships are going to be front and centre, but also a little tricky to deal with. On the one hand, you now have time to focus on these and figure out how you are going to deal with some key people in your life. On the other hand, people will not be as sweet and nice as they usually are and this means that you may find it hard to deal with all the drama. If you want to make some relationship decisions, then any time before the 29th October would be ideal. After that, there is a lot of confusion in the heavens.
TaurusThe Sun is in your Sixth House of Health and Wellness this month, Taurus, and this means it is time for you to get a little organized. It may be that you have been letting things like diet and exercise fall by the wayside – and you may also have struggled to get organized in your life. Now has a kind of back-to-school feeling about it, so get cracking and make the most of it. You could get a career breakthrough as a result, so make sure you hit the ground running soon. Venus is also your ruling planet, and as she is retrograde, you may find that your relationships are confusing and difficult to handle now – so the best thing to do is back off a little. There could be a lot of relationship drama towards the end of the month but, remember – what do YOU want?
GeminiThis month you will have the Sun in your Fifth House of True Love, Gemini, so you could find that you are hit with ALL of Cupid’s arrows, particularly around the time of the New Moon on 8 October. Make the most of this, however, as the end of the month brings with it relationship drama, and the Venus retrograde period really does not help things. All in all, this is likely to be a month when you do a lot of inner work and think through all the things that are right or wrong in your current relationships and figure out how to improve. This doesn’t mean major break ups are on the cards, but you may hit a speed bump now. Put these together and it’s fair to assume that there could be some family drama on the horizon this month, Cancer. This could be about a landlord who is being unreasonable, or you could have to do some unforeseen home repairs that drain your bank balance. It could also mean that some of you experience break ups or move out of a shared home. One thing to remember, however, is that the decisions you make now will be lasting ones, so make sure you think this through. You are one of the most emotional and sensitive signs of the zodiac, sweet Cancer, and this month is going to be more powerful and intense than most. You probably won’t end the month quite as you started it when it comes to your relationships – make sure you follow your heart either way.
LeoYou have the Sun in your Third House of Communication now, Leo, and if you work in a field where getting your voice heard is important, then you will be on fire for much of the month. With that in mind, push when it comes to plans and projects , especially at work as these could bring with them fame and possibly fortune. Venus is also retrograde, however, so you need to be careful with your relationships, and it could be that there are some big personalities in the mix this month. This could sound ominous but actually with the positive New Moon on 8 October you could find that you make money at this time or have some kind of a windfall. Relationships linked to money could be volatile this month as we have Venus in retrograde, so be prepared for arguments about the spending habits of a loved one, or perhaps your own propensity to splurge on big ticket items when you don’t have the cash to burn. LibraHappy Birthday, Libra! The Sun is in your First House of Image, so it is all about you this month. Or it would be if this was a normal cycle. But we have Venus, your ruler in retrograde so this will throw you off your game in some ways and could make you overly critical about your appearance. The issue however is that this is not the time for you to start changing your appearance, so try to give yourself a break. You could also find that relationships are tricky now, and you are one sign that loves to be in love with the idea of LOVE. But now you could question your closest alliances, and actually this could be the best thing for you. Retrograde planets ask us to look back over things in our past, so all kinds of relationships could be highlighted now. If you are not happy, perhaps this is the time to go your own way?
ScorpioThe Sun is in your Twelfth House for most of the month, Scorpio, and this is the house of your Inner Life. This means that you could be even more contemplative than normal now and this is about doing some inner work to ask yourself what you really want out of life. There could also be the sense that there is something...amiss now. A kind of nagging feeling if you will that all is not quite right. This could apply to a number of different areas of your life, but the first three weeks of the month will give you the chance to think about this and find out where the source of your angst is coming from. Sadly, it may be that a key relationship in your life is causing you some tension, and if that is the case then the end of the month could see a dramatic breakthrough in your emotional life – or a break up.
SagittariusFor the majority of the month of October you have the Sun in your Eleventh House of Friendships and Groups, and this will be the area you need to focus on, Sagittarius. There is a sense that change is coming for you in October and it appears as if it may be linked to a friend or a group. Perhaps this is your BFF who you actually would like to be something more, but to whom you have never had the courage to tell how you really feel. It could be a group endeavour like a band or a club which is calling you to make a move or decision in your life. CapricornThe Sun is in your Tenth House of Career and Ambition now, Capricorn, so you need to roll up your sleeves and truly get to work. This is something that your sign loves to do anyway, but the first three weeks of the month of October are the ideal time for you to get cracking. There could be a promotion or similar on the horizon if you get this to work, so think about ways you can work harder and smarter as you will reap the rewards. One thing to look out for is the fact that Venus is retrograde so people around you may not be super supportive, so you may have to fly solo at work. In your romantic relationships, you may find that things seem to cool down a little now with a partner, but actually this could give you some much needed breathing space to focus on your career.
AquariusThroughout most of October the Sun will be in your Ninth House, which is about Travel and Foreign People or Places. Dust off your suitcase, Aquarius, as the New Moon on October 8 could see you jetting off to far flung locales either for business or pleasure. One thing to note, however, is that with Venus in retrograde, you may find that some of your relationships with people from other countries or with different accents could go awry. You could stop seeing eye to eye and there could be a lot more friction between you and a loved one than usual. If that starts to happen, then travelling alone or taking a trip to see close family or friends could be the best way to deal with this tense time. All in all, it is a good time to focus on your own projects and not invest too much in other people’s plans even if that sounds a little selfish.
PiscesThe Sun is in your Eighth House for much of October and this is the house of Sex and Money. If you put both these things together, then you get themes such as alimony payments or divorce settlements. As if that wasn’t enough, we also have Venus in retrograde, which is going to shake up your relationships. So this is a time when you need to be very careful. You could have problems with things like taxation or other kinds of financial paperwork and these are all likely to lead back to a partner of some kind, and how you split up, pay back or divide your money. As the Eighth House also rules sex, you could feel a little hotter than usual lately, but with the retroshade from Venus this could also see you brooding about relationship issues and jealousy could be a big issue this month. Tread carefully in October, as there is a lot of potential for relationship drama, Pisces.
